Mon, 23 Nov 2009 11:24:41 GMT
Israeli occupying regime's President Shimon Peres held talks on Sunday in Cairo with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, on a day in which the regime's planes carried out air strikes against Palestinians in Gaza Strip, injuring several people.

Mubarak and Peres discussed efforts to restart so-called Middle East peace talks after the Egyptian president said the regime was creating obstacles to a settlement with the Palestinians.

The Egyptian president said that the occupied al-Quds "is not only a Palestinian problem but it is an issue that concerns all Muslims around the world."

"If we don't find a solution" to al-Quds... the Israeli regime will make enemies of all Muslims around the world.

Peres claimed that he accepted there were differences in the two sidse' positions, "but I believe they are bridgeable."

He further boasted that occupied al-Quds "was under Israeli sovereignty and any change in the status quo had to come through negotiations."
